Marilyn Franzini

MarilynI believe that trust is an essential building block for counseling to be beneficial. When a trusting helpful environment is present, people then have the opportunity to change and grow. This can allow the person to examine old patterns so that new choices and behaviors become integrated into a life that becomes happier and more fulfilling.

The Choice of a Therapist is Important

Entering counseling is an important decision. Choosing a therapist is an integral part of that decision. Experience, knowledge, and skill are all important factors to consider. Degrees and certifications are no substitute for a feeling of trust and comfort with your therapist. The personal qualities of the therapist are the key elements in a useful and constructive counseling experience. My experiences contribute to my having developed a deep sense of respect, compassion, and commitment for helping people achieve the healing they are seeking.

The Therapist's Integrity

I do not believe that a therapist can ask a person to engage in a change process the counselor is not also actively engaged in as well. A counselor must also have the integrity to apply the same standards of exploration, skills, and behaviors that sustain a healthy and productive life to their own life. I hold myself to these very same principles. This in turn helps me offer life tested experiences and techniques to my clients.

Qualifications

I have over 25 years of clinical experience of helping people with their healing journey. I have worked in many different settings with numerous clients and their healing work. This has allowed me to develop the skills needed to encourage and support a healthy change and growth process. I have particular interest in helping couples discover passionate, loving, and exciting ways of helping their relationship improve.
